Since noon yesterday, our seniors in the third shift, the second of Las Lagunas, have been enjoying the facilities of the Meliá Zahara Atlanterra

After breakfast in Chiclana, the ten buses that form part of this expedition to Zahara de los Atunes arrived in stages. Our elders arrived with smiling faces, looking forward to enjoying this trip, organised by the Mijas Town Hall for another year. "Everything is going very well, starting with great enthusiasm, we have been very well received and I have a room that feels like a chalet", said Francisca Gómez, one of the participants, laughing. Francisco Rodríguez, who is accompanied by his wife and is enjoying his stay with friends, shared the same sentiments: "We're having a great time here, we've been looking forward to this trip for a year". Lucía Mesa, who was enjoying a refreshing drink at the pool bar, joked that "we will take care of our cholesterol when we return to Las Lagunas".

At the hotel they were given the room key and the all inclusive bracelet. The mayor of Mijas, Josele Gonzalez, was also able to spend some time with our seniors before the lunch and the briefing, where, together with the councillor for the Elderly, they welcomed the 500 people who are part of this third shift. At this meeting they got to know the itinerary for the next few days. "We invest in the enjoyment of our seniors, in quality of life, in a healthy environment, for many of them these are the only holidays they can afford during the year, and for us, from the Town Hall and for the Seniors Department, it is a pride to see them having a good time", declared the mayor.

Vera, for her part, pointed out that "there are more than 100 people working to ensure that everything goes well in this shift" and indicated that "this turn, as well as being able to enjoy these facilities, they are also going to make a series of visits to Cadiz, where they will be accompanied by local guides who will explain each of the places of interest that they visit".

Afterwards, our seniors had free time to relax in the hotel hall, in their rooms or in the swimming pool, before the first night's dance.
