Almost one hundred people participated in the campaign #MovimientoBanderasVerdes of Ecovidrio that the Mijas Town Hall, through the department for Citizen Participation, has launched this summer and which raffled two 'miniglús'.
"This initiative has aroused great interest among the citizens of Mijas, who have not hesitated to interact with the publications of the draw, thus demonstrating their commitment to the care of Mijas", detailed the councillor for the department, Belén Roca (PSOE), who stressed that "the campaign is designed to promote glass recycling within the domestic environment. What we wanted is to raise awareness among our neighbours about the importance of recycling in our homes, because every small gesture adds up".
The draw was carried out through the social networks of the Citizen Participation department and the lucky winners, who have already received their 'miniglús', were Ana Belén Sedeño Ortega and Salvadora López Navas.
The town of Mijas joined, for the fourth consecutive summer, the #GreenFlagsMovement, in which more than 127 establishments in the municipality participated. This initiative, launched by Ecovidrio, the non-profit organisation in charge of managing the recycling of glass packaging waste in Spain, also has the collaboration of the Association of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol and the Mijas Town Hall.
