The registration period to take part in the second edition of the 'uta de la Tapa de Las Lagunas', which will take place from 14th of October to 2nd of December, is now open, following the success enjoyed last year, when tapas of a very high standard were offered and participation was very high. 

Establishments and restaurants wishing to take part in this initiative organised by the Mijas Federation of Associations, in collaboration with the Mijas Town Hall Tourism Department, can submit their applications until the 11th of August. Rosario Cortés, president of the association said that "last year was a great success, it was incredible, both the entrepreneurs and the organisation were very happy, it was the first one and we know that there are things to improve but we are working on it and we are very satisfied with the initiative". 

All those establishments interested in taking part should send an email to: famijasfederacion@gmail.com, giving the name of the establishment, address and contact details. Last year a total of 13 restaurants and bars took part in this route, more than 1,300 'tapaportes' were handed out, and over 1,000 tapas were prepared each day. "We are open to participation, not only from restaurants but also from bakeries and ice cream parlours, everyone is welcome in this second edition", stressed Cortés at the presentation of the opening of the registration period.
