According to the 'Sur' newspaper, the assailant of the young woman who was thrown from a moving vehicle in Mijas a fortnight ago has been arrested in the UK. The international arrest warrant requested by the Judicial Police Unit of the Guardia Civil in Mijas has now come into effect. The detainee is 35 years old, is of British nationality and has a significant criminal record. The aggression took place when they were travelling by car on the A7 towards Malaga and the young woman, having been stabbed in one of her legs, was thrown out of the car (it is not known whether she jumped out of the car to escape or was pushed by the man). Once out of the car, she sought refuge in a beach bar and the assailant fled to Gibraltar, from where he travelled to the UK. The victim was taken to hospital after the incident to receive medical attention for the stab wound and contusions.
