Friday is packed with a varied programme. The daytime fair will open at 14:00 hours at the Torreón de La Cala, where there will also be free paella and musical performances until it closes at 20:00 hours. At the beginning of the evening fair, the election of the children's king and queen will take place at the municipal booth, where there will be entertainment and magic shows for the children. At 22:30 there will be a performance by Señor Mirinda and at 23:30 Celtas Cortos. The Violet Point for the prevention of violence against women will be open from 23:00 to 03:00.
On Saturday we will again enjoy the daytime fair from 14:00 hours and in the evening it will be the turn for the concerts by José Ortega Manzanita at 22:30 hours and Antonio Carmona at 00:00 hours in the municipal booth. Both concerts will be free of charge. On Sunday we say goodbye to the festivities with the daytime fair from 14:00 hours and with concerts by Calle Nueva at 22:30 hours and Andy y Lucas at 23:30 hours at the municipal booth. In the leisure agenda, we have more activities. On Friday the last of the three concerts in the Music in the Courtyard series will take place. From nine o'clock in the evening and with free admission, you can enjoy the performance of the group LGangsters at the Folk Museum. Their repertoire includes classic English and American rock and roll, jazz, blues and soul. The band performs songs by a large number of international groups and artists such as Tina Turner, Queen and REM.
Also on Friday 28th of July, the Asociación de Familiares de Enfermos de Alzhéimer of Fuengirola-Mijas Costa will hold a big charity gala dinner. The charity evening will take place at the IPV Palace Hotel in Fuengirola, from 21:00 hours. Blues Night
As every year, the Blues Night returns to the municipal auditorium in Mijas Pueblo. Next Saturday 29th of July, the show will start at 21:00 hours. The doors will open at 20:30 hours and there will be a bar with food and drinks. A shuttle bus will be available for the public from the El Puerto quarry to make this experience as easy as possible. Admission will be free until full capacity is reached. This musical event will begin with the Vicky King Band, followed by Will Jacobs & Marcos Coll Band and closed by the Richard Ray Farrell Band and his All Star Blues Band. An event that, given the international nature of its artists, will guide us through blues from different parts of the world.
