The Ministry for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda is carrying out structural rehabilitation works on the A-7 Mediterranean motorway between kilometres 1,013.145 and 1041.230, in the municipalities of Mijas, Fuengirola and Marbella. According to a press release, in order to guarantee the safety of workers and users, left lane closures will be carried out in Algeciras direction between kilometres 1015.500 and 1030 and in Barcelona direction between kilometres 1016 and 1030.

Today Monday 17th of July these road surface rehabilitation works began between 00:01 hours (Sunday night, 16th of July) and 06:00 hours. On the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st, these works will resume between 22:00 hours on one day and 06:00 hours on the following day.

Traffic will be diverted to the right lane of each carriageway, which will remain open while the work is being carried out. Given the characteristics of the A-7, the Ministry for Transport points out that it is not possible to provide alternative routes during the works. Likewise, these works will continue during the rest of July and the month of August.
