"We have been preparing for a whole year. Before this gala we have already done others but the Las Lagunas Theatre always shows us respect, for example, we did a festival for Cudeca which was named after a friend of mine who was in hospital last year and passed away", said the academy's director, Ana María Tineo.
A whole year of work for the academies, which have the opportunity to show what they have learnt during the course in front of their families, who always fill the Theatre.
"We have prepared two dances, one men's and one women's, the preparation has been hard but I have had a good time doing it and I hope to have a good time performing", said Daría Alexa, a student at the academy. "For the dances that we usually do, it is normally one hour of class but to prepare for this type of dance we need more time", said Marta Ortiz, student.
"We are very happy with all the 'shows' that are done on behalf of Cudeca, we want more, Ana Maria has already done two for us and we need many people like this to support us", said Cudeca's Communication and Fundraising Officer, Jorge Lopez.
The work of this organisation is possible thanks to all the help they receive. Dance turned its attention to palliative care at a grand closing party.
