The Council for Culture completes a line-up for its 37th edition with 'Yerma' by Teatro Mijas, '25 a cappella contigo', 'El musical de los 80 a 90' and 'Creer es poder' (Believing is power). The plays and shows will be in Spanish, but the final magic show may be easier to follow and enjoy, even if you don't speak the language.
From the 13th to the 16th of July the auditorium in Mijas Pueblo will host a new edition of the Villa de Mijas Theatre Festival. The Department for Culture has worked in recent months on a line-up suitable for all audiences with plays and shows such as 'El musical de los 80 a 90', '25 a capella contigo', 'Yerma' and 'Creer es poder' (believing is power). "This is one of the most awaited programmes of the year in the Council for Culture, and we are going to celebrate it with theatre, music and magic", said the councillor responsible for the department, Verónica Ensberg (PSOE), who was accompanied at the presentation by the head of the department, Francisco Gutiérrez, who said that "the line-up has been made from the respect for the public, with the idea always to offer new, original proposals, which we think that the Mijeños have not yet had the opportunity to see. I believe that is the essence of a festival".
We remind you that all the plays will start at 22:30 and that admission is free, until full capacity is reached.
