Last night there was an accident near Venta de la Torre, on Camino de Coín. A man is being investigated for an alleged offence against road safety for causing this accident which resulted in serious material damage, according to the Mijas Local Police. The vehicle collided with several containers located on the public road. As a result of the impact, some of these were rendered unusable, and the local cleaning service had to arrive quickly and clear the area also for safety reasons. 

Rapid police action prevented further damage, and the driver was charged with a road safety offence. The man, according to information provided by the Local Police, exceeded the legal alcohol limit.
