PSOE, Cs and Por Mi Pueblo close a government pact for the next term in office

  • The investiture session will take place on the 17th of June
  • The swearing in of the new local government will be on June 17th

In the last elections, the socialists obtained 10 councillors, the orange party 2 and Por Mi Pueblo 1

The elections on the 28th of May last left Mijas without an absolute majority. The elections were won by the PSOE, with the current acting mayor, Josele González, as head of the list. The socialists won 10 councillors to the 9 of Ángel Nozal's PP. Vox obtained 3 councillors, Cs 2 and Por Mi Pueblo 1. With these numbers it was unknown which parties would form the majority, but today the doubts have been cleared up, as PSOE, Cs and Por Mi Pueblo have announced a press conference for 14:00 where they will give the details of their government pact for the 2023-2027 mandate.
