The family of María Ester Gurruchaga did not know her whereabouts and had no news of her.
Today the alert for a missing woman in our region has been deactivated. Since the 25th of May, María Ester Gurruchaga Moreno, a resident of Fuengirola, had been missing: she had not returned home, nor had she contacted her 22-year-old son or any of her family or friends. Her family, through different platforms such as SOS Desaparecidos and their social networks, were looking for clues about her and asking for her whereabouts. Today she has appeared on a beach in Benalmádena and has been taken to the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Victoria (Hospital Clínico).
María Ester is 42 years old, 1.60m tall, with black hair, brown eyes and various tattoos. Her car was also unaccounted for, a Citroen C3, registration number 7982 GKS, greenish-grey in colour.
The alert was triggered when the bar she works at in Mijas contacted her 22-year-old son, who lives with her, to inform them that, without warning, she had not shown up for work, which was unusual for her.
The disappearance of this woman has been considered vulnerable. According to family statements, "she was suffering from depression and had filed a complaint for abuse. She had a restraining order. But she was still seeing her former partner". Her activity on social networks had continued, although the family suspected that it was not her, and that someone was "using her passwords".
During her disappearance, calls have been received on 649.952.957 and 617.126.909. The email info@sosdesaparecidos.es was also made available to the public.
