Jesper Sander Pederson, founder and president of the Costa Press Club, has passed away

Jesper was a founding member of the Costa Press Club, an association created in 2002 to bring together international media professionals from southern Spain

After a short illness, Danish journalist Jesper Sander Pedersen has passed away at the age of 62. Jesper was a founding member of the Costa Press Club, an association created in 2002 to bring together international media professionals from southern Spain, and was president of the club for almost 21 years until his death. Born in Copenhagen, he studied journalism in Aarhus and arrived on the Costa del Sol in 1986 where he settled and raised his family. He then worked as a freelance journalist for Scandinavian and Danish magazines, as well as for Radio Solymar until 2014. She also ran a help and advice service to assist Danes with Spanish bureaucracy. 

The Press Association of Malaga has issued a statement mourning his death and expressed its condolences to his family and colleagues at the Costa Press Club. The association has stressed that "he always worked for the integration of foreign media and their professionals in our country. He was a defender of the liberal media and the integration of foreign nationalities on the Costa del Sol". 

Yesterday, Tuesday, a mass was held in memory of Jesper in the cemetery of San Miguel in Torremolinos, where he was currently living.
