This Thursday, 18th of May, is the last day to apply to vote by post for the municipal elections to be held on Sunday 28th. To do so, interested parties can do so via the Correos website (www.correos.es) or in person at any of its offices, during the usual opening hours. As an essential requirement, applicants must first request a certificate of registration on the electoral roll, as the Post Office reminds us.

In the online application form, users must prove their identity by means of an electronic signature, accepting the certificates of natural persons recognised by the Ministry of Industry and the electronic DNI (DNI-e) as valid.

With regard to the postal vote application, the voter must do so in person, accrediting his or her identity with the NIE, DNI, passport or driver's licence. In the event of illness or accredited disability, another authorised person may carry out this procedure in their place.

Once the electoral documentation has been received, citizens may cast their vote until Wednesday 24th of May at any Correos Post Office. In this regard, the public company has carried out 2,500 reinforcement contracts to speed up the service in the offices, the distribution of mail and the necessary tasks in the logistics centres.
