The Council for the Environment updates the catalogue of ‘Singular Trees of Mijas’, eliminating those which are no longer standing and adding new ones. The item was approved this Friday in plenary session with the votes in favour of all the groups in the corporation except the PP, who voted against. “In this catalogue, there were a total of ten trees that, unfortunately, no longer exist for various reasons, including natural causes, and therefore have been removed from the list and we propose eleven new trees, located in different parts of the municipality, which are worthy of cataloguing under technical criteria”, said the councillor responsible for the department, Arancha López (Cs). Following this modification, the catalogue will include 60 trees, some of which are privately owned. If you wish to see them, all you have to do is visit the Mijas Town Hall website, where their location and special characteristics are specified.
