From now on you can find updated information about the La Purísima cemetery in Mijas Pueblo on the municipal website of the Mijas Town Hall, which incorporates a new link with the timetable for burials, masses or the occupation of the rooms. All in a simple and quick manner, through a computer or any mobile device.
"This is the first time it has been done and I think it is very favourable for all residents and visitors who have to go to the cemetery and do not know, for example, the room where a certain person who has passed away is located", said the councillor for the Cemetery, Candela León (Cs), adding that this data is updated daily by the staff in our department "because we are the first to receive information on the entry of a deceased person to our morgue or any kind of change in timetables, meaning that we can transfer it almost immediately to the web to inform citizens".
“This is a very practical service”, said the councillor, which is also used by other cemeteries in the area, such as the San Cayetano cemetery in Fuengirola, "and we considered that it was appropriate to implement it in Mijas Pueblo because we think it is very convenient", concluded León.
