The councillor for Finance in the Mijas Town Hall, Roy Pérez (PSOE), presented on Monday the liquidation of the Budget for 2022. The councillor highlights the surplus in the municipal coffers, which, he says, amounts to 115 million euros, “114 million euros in savings for the coming years, to continue investing in necessary services for the municipality, as well as investments that transform the city, as has been seen in the last four years”, said the councillor.
The councillor also highlights another fact, which he considers “historical”, as is the zero debt maintained in the last four years, “regardless of the fact that we have lived through a pandemic and we have been through very difficult times, we have been able to maintain the situation of zero debt in this mandate and even in the year 2022, Pérez points out that the savings achieved, 114 million euros, “will continue to be available to the citizens for employment policies, necessary investments and also, obviously, to continue providing the services that our municipality needs”, concluded the councillor in charge of the Treasury.
