Political representatives of the government team, employees and residents gathered today at noon on Friday at the gates of the Mijas Town Hall to observe five minutes of silence for the victims of the war and to demand the restitution of peace. The call comes from the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), which has invited local authorities and councils to join this initiative to coincide with the first anniversary of the war in Ukraine. 

Representing the government team at the rally were the first deputy mayor, José Carlos Martín (Cs), the socialist councillors Roy Pérez and Nicolás Cruz and the councillors Mariló Olmedo (Cs), Arancha López (Cs) and Candela León (Cs).
