Following the good reception of previous editions, the guided tours programme aimed at foreign residents in the municipality, Mijas Secrets returns this year with an extensive agenda.

“This programme continues over time because it remains in high demand by the foreign population residing in our municipality. Once foreigners know more about our culture, our history and our gastronomy and better understand our way of life, they act as true ambassadors for other foreigners or tourists who come to visit us”, stated the councillor for Foreigners, Arancha López (Cs).

Classics and novelties

“For this year 2023 we are again banking on some classics, with the exception of one of the routes that is more novel, because we believe that they are the ones that most reflect the identity of the people of Mijas, such as historical visits, where we see the Mijas of 100 years ago, the Muslim Mijas, the hydrological Mijas... Different aspects of local history that serve to become more familiar with the history and identity of the town”, commented the local guide at Mijas Secrets, Sandra Gallardo.

For this year there are five routes planned, the first will take place on February the 28th and will be a historical route, which will also be repeated on June the 6th. The routes last 2.5 hours.
Other routes will take place on March 25th, April 13th and May 5th.
