During the plenary session held on Friday 30th, the municipal corporation debated two expense files valued at 1,253,000 euros. The largest amounts to 668,000 euros and the councillor for the Treasury, Roy Pérez (PSOE), explained that “they are invoices from different departments of the Town Hall, they are brought forward as a resolution of an expense file so that they can be approved before the end of the year and not become extrajudicial”.

The opposition criticised the management of these invoices and the fact that they had not been given more information in advance. “All of them have an objection report, some of them are in disagreement”, said the councillor for the PP Municipal Group, Mario Bravo. The non-attached councillor Esperanza Jiménez said that this situation “once again demonstrates a little irresponsibility which, in the end, ultimately harms the retailers who have to get paid”. In this regard, Pérez assured that the government team respects the Law, in response to the PP. As for the second expenditure file, valued at 585,000 euros, it was defended by the councillor for Transport and Mobility, Nicolás Cruz (PSOE) and is a contribution that will allow the continuity of the agreement between Mijas Town Hall and the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of Malaga, which provides for the operation of up to four public transport lines in the municipality.

All the groups voted in favour of this motion, with the exception of the non-attached councillors Juan Carlos Maldonado and Carlos Rivero, who abstained.
