The Mijas Town Hall recalls the importance of donating blood over Christmas to guarantee the supply to the hospitals. In fact, all those interested in collaborating with the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre in Malaga will have the opportunity to do so in the near future.

The mobile unit will be located on Friday 23rd of December next to the Town Hall, in Mijas Pueblo and in in Las Lagunas on the 27th and 28th next to the Hipercor from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00 hours.

The Health Department is appealing for collaboration. “We invite everyone interested in donating and doing their part to go to the mobile transfusion unit these days and make their contribution. As I always say, donating blood takes very little time and, with it, we can save up to three lives, it is important to give to the patient in need”, declared the councillor for Health at the Mijas Town Hall, Candela León (Cs).

The appeal is essential at this time of year when hospitals usually need a greater volume of blood. The requirements are to be between 18 and 65 years of age, weigh more than 50 kilos and be in good health. The parameters are monitored by medical staff.
