Among the favourite options for Mijas residents who visit the Las Lagunas Christmas enclosure is, without doubt, the ice rink, an experience that everyone wants to enjoy and even repeat, which is why the Festivities Department of the Mijas Town Hall has reached an agreement with those responsible for the installation to reduce the price by 50% for schools and high schools.
This was announced this week by the councillor in charge of the department, Tamara Vera (PSOE), who visited the area on the 20th of December. “We have put in place different alternative activities and one of them, perhaps one of the most popular, is precisely this ice rink. We have reached an agreement with the managers of the ice rink to establish a reduced price, inviting all schools and high schools to visit it in the mornings”, added the councillor.
For her part, one of the managers of the company Hielo Azul, Sonia García, assured that the activity “is proving to be very successful; many people who already know us come here because the company is already well known and has several rinks in other towns as well as Mijas. This year has been very good, more and more people are attending”.
During the morning some of the visitors, the more daring ones, went skating without help. Others, the more cautious, leaned on their sledges. What they all undoubtedly managed to do was to have a lot of fun. On this occasion, these young skaters were students from the IES Las Lagunas. Like them, students from the rest of the schools and high schools of Mijas will be visiting this rink over Christmas.
