Cala Mijas is stepping on the gas for its second edition. After announcing that The Strokes, Florence + The Machine and Arcade Fine headline the first confirmations for 2023, the mayor of Mijas, Josele González (PSOE), and the councillor for Fiestas, Tamara Vera (PSOE), have announced that next week the festival tickets will go on sale at a special price for residents of Mijas.
"Mijas residents will be able to buy their vouchers at a reduced price only by going to Cortijo Don Elías on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th, from 11am to 9pm", explains González, who stresses "we are once again making this option available to our neighbours so that they can enjoy the revelation festival in Spain at the most economical price possible. With Cala Mijas we have not only put our municipality on the national and international music map, but we have also made it possible for our residents to enjoy first class stars without leaving Mijas".
To purchase these tickets at a reduced price, Mijas residents must present their ID card along with a certificate of census registration or an electricity or gas bill. "Once residency has been verified, the festival will send a code and link to access the pre-sale exclusively for residents, where they can buy up to a maximum of 2 vouchers per person", adds Vera, who hopes that "many Mijeños and Mijeñas are encouraged in this pre-sale and join us again in the second edition of a festival that takes the name of Mijas to the top".
Tickets for residents go on sale at a price of 90 euros (plus administration fees) and are not nominative, so you can go to apply for a family member or other person who proves residence, it being necessary to justify the relationship with receipt and ID of children or family.
"From the festival we want to provide access to the whole of Mijas, offering an experience beyond the musical and cultural… a fun plan to share with friends, family and enjoy the atmosphere created by all attendees who come to Mijas those days from different parts of the world", said Eva Castillo, communications director of Last Tour.
Precisely, as announced by the organisation, from the 21st to the 28th of November, the attendees in the first edition will be able to buy the ticket for 2023 at a special price (120 euros plus booking fee) on the festival's website and seetickets.com/es. Likewise, the general ticket sale will start on Monday 28th of November from 10 a.m. through the usual purchase channels.

Just a few days ago, Cala Mijas 2023 announced the first 14 artists that will be at the Sonora Mijas venue on the 31st of August, 1st and 2nd of September. Topping the list are artists such as The Strokes, Florence + The Machine and Arcade Fine, and names as varied as The Blaze, Foals, Metronome, Amaia, Amyl & The Sniffers, Baiuca, Ballena, Cariño, Cupido, Delaporte and Judeline.
In 2023, Sonora Mijas will reopen its doors with significant improvements to its 120,000 square metres, a space where more than 107,000 people from more than 50 countries enjoyed the first edition of Cala Mijas. The originality, programming, innovation, sustainability, in short, the set of services offered by this festival in its first edition has earned it the Fest Award for 'Revelation Festival' and is currently nominated in the category of 'Best Major Festival' of the European Festival Awards.
