Today Wednesday, 2nd of November, the call for applications for a new list of those admitted to the Renta Básica socio-occupational integration programme has opened. Applications to join this selection process organised by the municipal company Mijas Servicios Complementarios can be submitted until the 30th of November, "we encourage those who are seeking employment to submit their application during the month of November, we must emphasize that there is a new format that can be downloaded from the Town Hall website, the old application will no longer be accepted", explained the Councillor Delegate of Mijas Servicios Complementarios, Arancha López (Cs).
The main objective of ‘Renta Básica’ is to generate opportunities for those unemployed persons at risk of social exclusion, which was confirmed by the also Councillor Delegate of Mijas Servicios Complementarios, Laura Moreno, who assures that this objective is fulfilled with the lower number of applications being presented after each call. "We have returned to pre-pandemic employment levels in 2019, we are already at even lower unemployment levels, which is also something very important. We have to take into account that these municipal employment plans will soon begin and there will be more than 100 Mijeños and Mijeñas hired by the Mijas Town Hall to carry out different jobs in different areas", explained Moreno.
Applications can be handed in by registering on the digital certificate or in person at the Employment Promotion Office and can be downloaded from the municipal website (https://www.mijas.es/portal/en/fomento-empleo/renta-basica/).
