The scariest holiday of the year is approaching, and Mijas has everything ready to experience it in the most terrifying and fun way possible. The councillor for Fiestas and Youth, Tamara Vera (PSOE), presented, last Thursday 27th, the battery of activities that both areas have programmed for Halloween. This festivity is gaining more strength in the town thanks to events like the passage of terror. “We will again have Youth Area passage terror in the Cortijo Don Elías. This year, we are doing it twice. In addition to the traditional October 31st, it will also be on October 30th,” said Vera. The leisure offer in the three centres is complemented with children’s attractions, photocall, storytelling, costume contests or Katrina characterization workshops on October 31st. They will be available from 18 to 23 hours in Las Lagunas and 17 to 23 hours in Mijas Pueblo and La Cala. “We want all family members not only to dress up but also to find something to have a good time during our terrifying weekend, which is why the Fiestas and Youth Departments have programmed activities for all tastes and ages,” added the councillor. On the other hand, food trucks are scheduled to return to the Las Lagunas fairgrounds from 29th October to 1st November, every day for 13 hours. “There will be seven foodtrucks and seven gastronomic, even a gluten-free menu. There will be live performances for all tastes: acoustic, rock, flamenco, Cuban music, and local artist Salma Diaz” explained Fabian D’Angelo, head of the company organising the Foodtrucks Xperience Halloween which will come to put the icing on a terrifyingly fun cake in Mijas.
