The Mijas Foreigners Department is organising a new informative talk for the British community living in the municipality. It will take place on Tuesday, 8th November, from 16:00 hours, in the La Cala Mayor’s Office assembly hall. Brexit and the latest news on the UK’s exit from the European Union will be discussed again. Also, other topics such as inheritance, driving licences or the rise in prices. Arancha López (Cs), the Foreigners’ Councillor, recalled there are currently 9,000 British residents in Mijas, “ and many of them, tell the Foreigners’ Department, wish to continue living in our municipality. We believe it is essential they have all this updated information available as it has a direct influence on them”. The Blacktower Financial Management Group is organising this information session in collaboration with the Foreigners Department. According to its director, Tim Govaerts, “the My Lawyer in Spain group will also participate in this talk, which will talk about the new visas, for example, and Brexpats in Spain, which will go into the Brexit effects in depth”. In addition, the British vice-consul in Málaga, Miriam Pérez, is expected to be present. “ Along with the rest of the speakers, she will try to answer some of the questions that the attendees have previously asked,” said the Foreigners’ Councillor.
