Cala Mijas Festival opts for six nominations for the Fest Awards 2022

It is a newcomer, but the international Cala Mijas Festival is here to stay. The first edition was held on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of September and has already announced its dates for the 2023 edition. It has achieved six nominations for the Fest 2022 Awards, which highlight the best of the festival circuits in our country.

Thus, the Cala Mijas festival, sponsored by the Mijas Town Hall and organised by Last Tour, has received nominations for 'Best large format festival', 'Best newcomer festival', 'Best production', 'Festival with the best catering area', 'Most sustainable festival' and 'Festival with the greatest contribution to the region'. Voting was public and remained active until Sunday, 9th October, on the premiosfest.com website. Shortly afterwards, the final nominees will be announced, and the awards will be presented during BIME on the 26th of October.

Some 107,000 people attended the Cala Mijas festival, with an audience from more than 50 countries who enjoyed artists such as Arctic Monkeys (only date in Spain), Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Liam Gallagher, The Chemical Brothers, Kraftwerk, Nathy Peluso and Bomba Estéreo. The second edition of Cala Mijas will be held on the 31st of August, and the 1st and 2nd of September 2023.
