The Mijas Town Hall informs that due to the death of the Queen Elizabeth II, from next Monday onwards, September the 12th, at the Town Hall offices of La Cala de Mijas, there will be a book of condolences available for the neighbours who wish to write their messages of condolences.
This book will be available this Monday, from 11:30 a.m., and from Tuesday onwards; the opening hours of The Town Hall of La Cala de Mijas, will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it is expected that after a period of one month, a copy of this book be delivered to the British Consulate for their knowledge and use.
The death of Elizabeth II at the age of 96 leaves the British people orphaned. A key figure in British history in the second half of the 20th century and the first decades of the 21st, Queen Elizabeth II has been a symbol of the European monarchy.
It is for all this that from the Town Hall of Mijas would like to send our condolences to the entire British community and especially to the almost 10,000 neighbours of this nationality that reside in Mijas. It should be remembered that Mijas brings together the largest British community in Andalusia, a population that grew to up to 10 percent in 2020 after the United Kingdom left the European Union.
