Lions helping their smaller feline cousins: the Lions Club of La Cala de Mijas has made a donation to the Mijas Felina association in an act not without poetic similarity. This donation of 1,400 euros will enable the animal shelter to continue its work.

In addition, this action is one example of collaboration between charitable groups. This donation was handed over on Tuesday, 30th August, and matched by the company Blevins Franks to the diabetes group of the Lions Club. The Councillor for Foreigners, Arancha López (Cs), highlighted this as “one of the objectives that we wanted to promote from the department, as it represents solidarity work by all the Mijas associations supporting each other”.

A gesture that will help the Mijas Felina volunteers to continue working. As stated by one of the collaborators, Isabel Sánchez: “we are grateful for this donation as it is very much appreciated. It will help us a lot, as we were currently overwhelmed with veterinary bills, and had problems paying for neutering”.
In turn, the Lions Club diabetes prevention group will have additional funds for its purpose, specifically 650 euros, to continue the fight against this disease, thanks to the donation from the Mijeña company Blevins Franks Wealth Management.
