After Sierra de Mijas' fire was declared stable at 7.30 pm, the Junta de Andalucía announced it was lowered to emergency level 0. It allowed the last residents of Pinos de Alhaurín, Pescadores, and El Chorro remaining evacuated as a precautionary measure, to return to their homes. However, it was with the Red Cross's collaboration.

After making official the fire stabilisation, which affected an area of 1,875 hectares (provisional data), The Junta de Andalucía's Agriculture Minister, Carmen Crespo, declared from the Advanced Fire Command Post, installed in Alhaurín el Grande, "we are investigating the fire's cause. All indications are that this was not a naturally occurring fire, and we are investigating whether it was an accident or deliberate”.

For his part, the technical director of extinction, Alejandro Molina, said, "after making a fly-over the entire area, we can see that there are no flames in any part of the perimeter. There are a couple of hot spots that we are now cooling. The fire has not grown a single hectare since this morning". He also added that "the fire is stabilised but not controlled, that is, it is not complete perimeter, and for that, there is still much work to do, we do not rule out any reactivation either".
