The Idiliq group held an event to "enhance the image" of the Wyndham Costa del Sol complex in Mijas yesterday. The group's financial director, Juan José Millán, explained that "a commitment to gastronomy has been made with different restaurants", which have opened their doors both to the members of the complex and the Mijas people. "The aim is to open up a little more to the local population," added Millán, adding that the locals will have access to the gastronomic and entertainment offer of the complex, which has, among others, outdoor activities, concerts, and activities for the little ones.

The Mijas Mayor, Josele González (PSOE), who attended the event, stressed that "the old complex has made a great business and commercial update". Also, an "official presentation not only of the new name and the new commercial formula with which the Mijas destination will promote within this great tourist complex, but it has also made a great commitment to update the gastronomic offer available to tourists and Mijeños. The Mayor stressed that the group has refurbished the premises and the menus of its restaurants, being presented on Thursday 7th, in an event attended by "owners and influencers in the gastronomic world," said Gonzalez. He said the group has the City Council as an ally, as they promote Mijas internationally as a tourist destination.

The First Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Tourism, José Carlos Martín (Cs), expressed himself in the same way, encouraging everyone to try the restaurants in the Idiliq group's complex, which "generates jobs" and "generates an important cuisine".

The Popular Municipal Group's spokesman, Ángel Nozal, said he was "delighted with this relaunch" and considered the gastronomic day "excellent". "They will continue to be a reference point for the Mijas economy, bringing thousands of tourists to these group homes of extra-hotel occupations," he said.

The Wyndham Costa del Sol complex has four resorts and the restaurants Safari, El Rancho Grill & Bar, The Flying Pizza, Sam's Pantry, and Beak & Trotter. They offer dishes prepared with " high-quality raw materials" in which they offer "original and innovative ideas", according to Millán.

Safari has a wide selection of international cuisine throughout the day, while Rancho Grill & Bar offers a selection of barbecued meats. The Flying Pizza is open daily and has a takeaway service. You can find freshly baked bread and cakes at Sam's Pantry, among other products. At Beak & Trotter, you can taste "flavours and textures that have revolutionised the hamburger world", according to the Idiliq group.
