Mijas will host, this summer, a Blues Night

  • The event, which will be free, will be held on 9th July in the Miguel González Berral Concert Hall at 9 pm

The Mijas Town Hall Tourism Department is once again organising the Blues Night. The line-up put together by ‘La Cochera Producciones’ and catering for all tastes. The event have groups of international standing such as the Americans, The Reverend Shawn Amos, the Spanish trio Néstor Pardo and the Malaga band The Gangberries. They will be in charge of opening the show.” “They practically started listening to the blues and playing the bass when they were teething,” said Javier Martínez, Manager of “ La Cochera Producciones”. He added, “we are also bringing a national band like Néstor Pardo, and to top it all off, a band of international standing as The Reverend Shawn Amos.

The Gangberries, present at the press conference held on Thursday 16th, at the Mijas Pueblo Tourist Office, promised not to disappoint the public. With more than a decade on stage, the band assures to defend the great blues classics, a genre with more than 100 years of history. We are a highly eclectic band as we play many current and classic blues’ styles. We fuse a little bit of the blues repertoire of the last 50 years in our performance”, said the band’s bass player, Javier Martín.
