Mijas has already launched the web platform mijassolygolf.com where you can find information about the 12 golf courses in the municipality, and you can also have access through the Town Hall website www.mijas.es. “It is a state-of-the-art platform which allows interaction and green fee bookings. It has detailed information, sequentially, and in 360 degrees, with all the data of our golf courses,” said the First Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Tourism, José Carlos Martín (Cs), on Wednesday 15th.

Through this new website, which has been made possible with a grant of 28,300 euros from the Munitic program awarded by the Junta de Andalucía for the implementation of new technologies in the tourism sector, golf lovers and tourists can have information and 360º images of the golf courses in Mijas, and courses details of the services provided by the clubs. It also details the location they are located and allows booking green fees. The website is in several languages.

Industry professionals have enthusiastically welcomed the new platform. The La Cala Golf Resort Account Manager, Silvia Ortega, considered useful the new website and thanked the Mijas Town Hall. “We appreciate all the support they are providing and many others to the golf sector, which is an important tourism segment in Mijas”. “I think it is a great initiative. We have institutional support from the Tourist Office and the Town Hall. It is an association to position ourselves in the national and international market,” added the Chaparral Golf Club’s managing director, Domingo Gavira. According to these professionals in the sector, this type of action is of great interest as it gives greater visibility to the courses as attracts tourism in the low season.
