The 'Mijas Secrets' programme, set up by local guides with the Mijas Town Hall's Foreigners Department will not take a break this summer. Foreign residents will continue to enjoy these activities to learn about the traditions and customs of the municipality during June and July. "There will be three different activities for all the municipality's foreigners, and other nearby towns. They will see the culture, tradition, and gastronomy. In short, they will get to know the essence of Mijas", explained the Councillor for the Area, Arancha López (Cs), who wanted to invite "all foreigners to get to know our culture, and traditions and to enjoy our gastronomy".

The new routes
This summer edition includes three events: a visit to Viña Tamisa on 19th June, which will be repeated on 3rd July, where visitors will enjoy a wine tasting. A ' film tour' through Mijas Pueblo, where foreigners can watch the film by José María Burgos, 'Mijas, un pueblo de cine', and then visit the different film locations of these films on 24th June. In July, they can enjoy a route on the 'Vírgen del Carmen' procession, on the 16th, with a boat trip.
