The Entrerríos Youth Hostel is again offering overnight stays during the summer holidays

Each shift includes about 60 children and includes bus transport, meals and activities related to the natural environment

Back to normality also in the Entrerríos Youth Hostel, which after two years of Covid-19 restrictions, resumes its usual summer holiday programme for children. The Councillor for Youth Hostels, Natalia Martínez (PSOE), presented this Monday, this new campaign, "which will recover the overnight stay so that the hostel also recovers all its essence with those overnight stays that our children like so much. We have prepared eight varied shifts, which will run from the 27th of June to the 2nd of September".

In short, almost 500 children will enjoy these facilities, "60 places per shift, from 4 to 15 years old, who can choose whether they want to stay, day or night shift, and who will, once again, enjoy an outdoor environment with star activities such as garden, animals, and the bread-making. Although, the important thing is the children coming together, which becomes a unique and special moment," adds Martínez.

There will also be theme workshops for each of the groups. "We are already preparing with the monitors' team a series of activities and themes for each of the groups, but before this summer period, we have to finish the school meetings, which are also very popular," recalls the Hostel coordinator, Toñi Ruiz. For his part, Ernesto Moreno, a hostel monitor, says that the children "are delighted when they come here. They have a great time, with the afternoon workshops, especially with the different topics chosen, which are different in each shift, they are thrilled".

Registration for the summer season will take place on the 16th, 17th and 18th of May at the Youth Hostel Department in the Las Lagunas Theatre (telephone: 951 06 33 99), La Cala Cultural Centre (952 58 77 50) and the Mijas Pueblo Municipal Library (952 48 55 44).
