After the legal allegations' deadlines, the suggestions were made, and the regulation period was exceeded, it was taken to a plenary session

After the initial approval of the internal regulations for the use, parking spaces allocations, and the Mijas public car parks operation, the government team took the final approval of this document to the plenary session to enter into force. "From then on, we will have a regulation that will help users, and the administration when it comes to the operation model, not only for the car parks that we have in operation now but also for those that will be in the Mijas municipality," said the First Deputy Mayor and spokesman for the Municipal Citizens Group, José Carlos Martín.

The opposition asked the government team about the municipal car parks management model. "Is the car parks' management model going to be 100% public?'' asked the non-attached Councillor, Esperanza Jiménez. The Popular  Councillor, Mario Bravo, added that "this question comes as a result of the secretary's report that reminds us of the obligation to make a statement on the management service way. The secretary reminds us that it is not convenient to skip the natural order of things. It seems logical to first pass the management form, and then pass the regulations''.

Martín replied that, nowadays, the Town Hall management is direct. In parallel, a municipalisation file is already being processed "which will confirm whether the management we have now, direct, will continue in the future, or it will take another management model type as indirect in any of its areas". He stressed that "the car parks are currently being managed by the Town Hall and will remain so until it is decided through this administrative procedure whether to change the model or not".

The motion presented as a matter of urgency was supported by the government team and the non-attached Councillor Juan Carlos Maldonado. The PP and the non-attached Councillor Carlos Rivero voted against, while the non-attached Councillor, Esperanza Jiménez, abstained.
