Mijas Communication follows Mijas traditions closely and, in collaboration with the Culture Department Councillor, presented an exhibition at Mijas Pueblo House Museum last Friday. It brings together those moments that we all have in our memories and which we are so keen to repeat this year. The Mijas Communication CEO, Nicolás Cruz (PSOE), has been in charge of receiving the brotherhoods. "Beyond the informative and communicative work that we do from Mijas Communication, as a public company, we also want to highlight the social work in all the municipality areas. Therefore, we participate in this traditional sample, the culture of this important moment. It is also a tourist attraction in a special Holy Week that sets us apart from others.
The exhibition will be open until 18th April in the House Museum opening hours, right in the centre of the route where the Mijas processions pass. Jorge Leal, Cristo de la Paz's elder deputy brother, said that "the exhibition is beautiful with photos of all the Mijas images and brotherhoods, and it is very nice that they come to the House Museum". The sister of the Cristo de la Columna, María Teresa Rodríguez, also agreed: "We haven't been out for two years, and we are looking forward to it". Salvador Fernández, "Jesús Vivo" brotherhood attorney, also spoke at the exhibition, "I encourage you to come to the brotherhood as we lack men to carry the throne, and we want it to shine this Holy Week in Las Lagunas", informed Fernández.
