On Wednesday 6th April, La Cala Mayor's Office will host an English informative talk aimed at foreign municipality residents. The meeting was organised by the Mijas Town Hall Foreigners Department in collaboration with the companies My Lawyer in Spain and Blacktower. The talk will be given by representatives of each of the organisers and the main aim of the event is for these residents to learn about the municipality's administrative processes.

During the presentation of the event, the Foreigners Councillor, Arancha López (Cs), explained that "it will be an informative talk which will deal with very different topics, current ones, as they are fundamental issues for their day-to-day life here in the municipality, about which some foreign residents have sent us their doubts and have asked us for advice".

The Mijas Blacktower associate director, Tim Gowaerts, stated that "we always try to talk about issues that concern the foreign community. Nowadays, we mainly talk about tax residency, the type of declarations they have to make, or capital gains. This latter is the topic the Town Hall is going to talk about". Other topics such as wills, notarial matters and inheritance taxes, will also be discussed. To conclude, the Foreigners Department expressed their gratitude for the collaboration: "we would like to thank our sponsors, and collaborators for their work and their full availability to carry out this new talk for foreign residents", affirmed López.
