We invite everyone to join this initiative", declared the Department Councillor, Arancha López (Cs). She pointed out that "we want citizens to get to know these trees, learn about their uniqueness, and what better way than participating in this photography competition and competing for one of the four prizes we have".

Participants can submit their photos from today until 29th April, by sending them to the email address (medioambiente@mijas.es): "You have to send the photograph,  a title and a brief reason why you have chosen this unique tree. The rules are already published," López said.

This competition is sponsored by East-West and will provide interesting cash prizes, as the Councillor for the Environment pointed out: "We would like to thank this company for its collaboration with the Environment Department in this competition, which will provide 200 euros for the winner, 100 euros for the second-best photograph and 50 euros for the third-best, as well as a special prize of 50 euros for the photo with the most social networks votes".
