Roy Pérez (PSOE), the Mijas Town Hall Finance Councillor, has announced the different municipal taxes and fees tax calendar for this year, which will be payable from the 1st March to the 21st November. "We have kept the dates that were established when the pandemic began. We opted to delay the deadlines to make it easier for residents to pay, and we have also maintained all the payment methods that were introduced at that time for the convenience of taxpayers," said Pérez.
As in previous years, direct debit bills will receive a 5% discount. "Direct debit payments will be made from March, in the case of Taxes on Real Estate (IBI) on 10th March, Rubbish Collection Tax from 10th April, and Vehicle Tax from 5th May," said the Treasury Councillor.
Those who wish to take advantage of this discount and who have not paid yet by direct debit must do so at least ten days before the date stipulated for the issue of the first direct debit bill. "They have to make an appointment at the Town Hall and request it, providing their bank and personal details and thus benefit from the 5% discount, or also by registration," said Pérez.
For those residents who do not have a direct debit, the Town Hall offers several alternatives. In person, by appointment, at the tax offices, through the electronic office or the pagos express platform, the latter option is only available for registered residents. "All the facilities that have been implemented during the pandemic have been maintained and are here to stay," said Pérez.
