The illusion to see and enjoy the magic of the Three Wise Men has defeated the pandemic, and many children and parents have visited the static parades organised in the three centres, under the health control regulations foreseen for this type of event.
The Mayor of Mijas, Josele González (PSOE), stated that it is “a magical day and night and I hope that everyone’s wishes are fulfilled”.
As for the success of participation, the Councillor said that “it has been a surprise that many residents come from other municipalities, which means that in Mijas we are making it to be an important commitment to the events, doing so with all the guarantees of security.
For her part, the Councillor for Fiestas, Tamara Vera (PSOE), said that “year after year, we continue to grow in all our activities, which is always a source of joy. Once again, we have been surprised by the expectations. There have been many families who have come to share this moment with us”.
The First Deputy Mayor, José Carlos Martín (Cs), said that “we are surprised, and at the same time, proud to see the participation in the parade after the difficult situation we have been going through”. Martín explained that “we are making an important effort because we have to reach all the children in all the villages”, to which he added that “it is a job in which all areas of Mijas Town Hall participate”.
Thus, the Popular Councillor in Mijas, Mario Bravo, said that “people are still waiting for this day, with the same enthusiasm . Thanks to the collaboration of Civil Protection and Local Police, we have managed to get the Three Kings to Mijas”.
With Local Police and Public Safety, monitoring the compliance with safety measures. The youngest members of the family received gluten-free sweets and sugar-free options. The Town Hall distributed more than 1,500 kilos of sweets in Las Lagunas alone to sweeten the magical afternoon of the Three Wise Men with music, dancing, and entertainment.
