A reduction in the rate of buildability and density of housing, more functional green areas away from the margins of the sector, a reserve of land for subsidised housing and more metres for public facilities. These are the four aspects included in the modification of the General Urban Development Plan in the SUP S-10 sector of Torreblanca del Sol, which has been provisionally approved for the third time in today's plenary session. "This is the third provisional approval. The sectoral reports that have been arriving have been incorporated, above all, that of Roads, and in the end, everything has been merged into a single text that includes these aspects', explained the Town Planning Councillor, Andrés Ruiz (Cs).

According to Ruiz, the final approval of this amendment will not be the responsibility of the Mijas Town Council Plenary. "It will be under the authority of the Provincial Commission of Urbanism and Territorial Planning of the Junta, and before that, it will have to pass through the Consejo Consultivo", he pointed out. The modification will affect the SUP S-10 sector of Torreblanca del Sol.

 

The sector affected by this modification has more than 1.2 million square metres. By this change in the planning, the density is reduced from 6,300 dwellings to 3,500. Green areas are extended to 231,000 square metres. Also, 65,000 square metres are assigned for equipment; of these, between 7,000 and 20,000 metres will be for school equipment.

On this point, PSOE and Ciudadanos voted in favour and the rest of the groups of the corporation abstained.
