The incidence rate in Mijas drops below 300

  • This decrease will entail a relaxation in the restrictions that affect, mainly, the capacity of the catering industry
  • On alert level 2, a capacity of 75% is allowed inside the catering businesses

After yesterday's meeting of the Territorial Committee, the Costa del Sol health district, to which Mijas belongs, goes to level 2 of health alert

The drop in the incidence rate continues in Mijas, which is now below 300 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, going from almost 350 yesterday, to 289.2 today. On the other hand, in the last seven days a total of 89 cases have been recorded in the municipality, and deaths remain at 47. In Andalusia, the incidence rate has also dropped from 400 cases to 390.8 today. The community has registered a total of 2,031 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Health alert level 2
The fifth wave of the pandemic continues to subside, as confirmed by the Territorial Committee for Health Alerts yesterday afternoon after its weekly meeting. In it, the experts agreed that the Costa del Sol health district, to which Mijas belongs, along with the other five districts of Malaga, drops to level 2 of health alert. Among the measures, they have approved to increase to six people the maximum number of diners per table inside bars, restaurants and celebration halls in alert levels 1 and 2. In this way, 75% capacity will be allowed indoors, that is, 25% more capacity than in level 3, in the catering industry.
