"Here, we had problems on the access road to San Antón, where the water was, little by little, washing away this slope", explained the councillor for Operative Services, José Carlos Martín (Cs), during his visit on Wednesday to the area. "The construction of a breakwater wall at this point", he added, "will finally protect the road so that we do not have problems with landslides and water can be evacuated at another point".
The wall covers around 36 linear metres and is between 2 and 3 metres high. Likewise, the government team has taken advantage of this project to install public lighting, a fence and widen the lane. "With this, we avoid future problems with landslides and also, with the installation of the lighting we provide more safety to traffic in the area", clarified Martín.
The project has an investment of 45,000 euros and has been carried out in a period of two weeks, according to the councillor, between the departments for Operative Services, and Energy & Efficiency.
