The Traffic Council in the Mijas Town Hall has reported that Camino de Coín will be partially closed to traffic from 10 pm tonight, July 6th to 7 am on July 7th due to the completion of the paving of the section that connects the A-7 highway with the Victimas del Terrorismo roundabout.

The work is being carried out in alternate sections and directions to facilitate access to the homes of residents of the area or emergency services. The paint work will be carried out after the asphalting to minimize the inconvenience to neighbours and visitors. These asphalting tasks are included in the 2021 Asphalt Conservation and Maintenance Plan that began on Monday.

The Local Police Traffic Cabinet asks drivers to use alternative routes as much as possible, such as Avenida de Andalucía and exercise extreme caution going through this section due to the lack of specific signposting in some routes on which they are working. They also apologise for the inconvenience that these cuts may cause.
