During the weekend a caving emergency course organised by the Andalusian Association of Underground Explorations, the AAES, and in which the 'Mainake de Mijas' Caving Association has collaborated, was developed in Mijas. Two days were dedicated to learning about the novelties in caving rescue techniques, in short, to catch up and learn about the measures that are carried out during the first moments in the case of an accident needing rescue services in a cave, techniques involving ascent, descent, transport… measures that can help make the work of the rescue team itself, when they arrive, more efficient and safe. Jesús Cuenca, member of AAES, commented that after the pandemic "we meet again to recycle our knowledge, get up to date with relief techniques. It also helps us to keep in touch and always comes in handy". The course was developed throughout the day on Saturday and on Sunday morning. The Mijas Town Hall provided the Osunillas sports centre for the cavers to spend the night. It has been a practical course that allowed these experienced cavers to renew and refresh their knowledge on these techniques that have a common denominator: safety.
