The proposal includes a total of 11 tapas, nine savoury and two sweet

Traditional egg casserole with potatoes and tomato, popeye chicken cylinder, polenta ingot with ratatouille, crab stick cocktail sandwich, salmon crepe, chili con carne roll, cheese and guacamole, chicken curry skewer with fries, seafood pastela with noodles and potato omelette stuffed with roast red pepper and melva, these are the nine savoury tapas, to which are added, the gelato d'oro and the crocanti nougat ice cream.

These are the proposals for the 13th edition of the Mijas Pueblo Tapa Route. "Entrepreneurs have made an effort to provide a quality bonus, without detracting from last year, and they have put a lot of love and enthusiasm into their tapas. The route is going to be a great attraction from the gastronomic point of view for residents and tourists, aside from the offer that Mijas already provides", declared the councillor for Tourism, José Carlos Martín (Cs), who during the presentation of this edition was also accompanied by the head of the department, Juan Carlos Acevedo, who pointed out that "there are many novelties this year and we consider that it will be a success”.

The restaurants La Fuente, Bar Fiesta, Chema’s Terrace, the bars Fiesta, La Pesca, Porras and the Bóveda del Flamenco, Bellavista, Coffeeart, Tapintxo coffee shops and the Casa Esteban and Mijhitas ice cream parlours are part of this initiative. "This is a boost for the summer, especially in the current circumstances, and businesses are betting on local products to give them visibility", said Martín Gómez, president of the Mijas Merchants Association.

This ‘Ruta de la Tapa’ will take place every Tuesday and Thursday in July and August between 19:30 and 23 hours. The price of the tapas is 2.5 euros and includes a tapa and a drink in the case of savoury ones, and in the case of sweet tapas, an ice-cream.

The 'Tapaporte' can already be collected at the Mijas Pueblo Tourist Office. Those who hand it back completely stamped by the participating establishments will receive a direct gift and will enter the final draw, with great prizes.
