On Tuesday 15th, at 7:20 pm, Mijas Firefighters received a call alerting of a forest fire at kilometre 6 of the A-7053, the road that connects Las Lagunas with Alhaurín el Grande. A fire truck with Mijas Firefighters arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames with the help of Infoca. At 8:41 pm the intervention by Mijas Firefighters was considered controlled and concluded, the Infoca checkpoint remained at the scene to carry out refreshment and surveillance tasks. Agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Mijas also participated in the intervention. The fire destroyed one hectare of forest land.
