Beach bars in Mijas serve the best seafood cuisine

We visited the Los Delfines beach bar, located in La Cala de Mijas and often frequented by the British. For a few weeks now we have been making a tour of the beach bars on the Mijas coast to see how they are resuming their activity, after many months marked by the pandemic. This week we made a stop at Los Delfines, located on the seafront of La Cala. It is a business with decades of history and experience that, although it depends a lot on the British clientele, also has national clients who are like family. "We have been coming every summer for 36 years no less, and we really like this beach because it is very comfortable, as well as the beach bar, where they treat us very well", said Javier Medrana, a regular customer at Los Delfines.

This beach bar in La Cala offers everything one could ask for to spend a good day on the beach, from a large area with sunbeds near the shore, to a space reserved for massages, the good attention provided by the staff and, best of all, its varied seafood gastronomy. "In addition to the skewered sardines, typical in the Malaga area, we have anchovies with lemon and vinegar, sea bream, sea bass and all the fresh fish that we purchase at the market" explained chef Hassan Abdi.

There are also many foreign customers who choose this beach bar to enjoy the coast of La Cala, especially the British. “It is true that we are noticing that fewer British tourists are arriving due to the coronavirus crisis, but those who live here visit us very often”, said Yolanda Cano, waitress at Los Delfines, who also encouraged everyone to visit this local in La Cala. From now on, it remains open from 12 noon until midnight.
