  • It will be held in July and August
  • Cristóbal Gallego and the councillor for Tourism, José Carlos Martín

Eleven venues from Mijas Village participate, including restaurants and ice cream parlours

The 'Ruta de la Tapa 2021' is warming up the engines. On Friday, the jury in charge of guaranteeing the quality of the tapas that will be served to residents and visitors during the months of July and August met.
With all the sanitary measures against COVID, it has become a tradition for lovers of good food, as stated by the councillor for Tourism in Mijas, José Carlos Martín (Cs), “we are preparing this gastronomic event that has been so successful in past years, reminding that Mijas is a safe destination against COVID and that it is looking forward to welcoming friends and newcomers”.
It has been a blind tasting in which our colleague Cristóbal Gallego and Alicia Jiménez have been the judges. Both verified the great quality of the proposals of the eleven establishments (nine restaurants and two ice cream parlours) in Mijas Village that will participate in this new edition.
Jiménez stated: "we are going ensure that the quality of the tapas is the best possible, that they are innovative, eye-catching and that they represent an incentive for all those who come to enjoy our Tapa Route 2021".
