The Mijas Town Hall's Youth Department presented a new international mobility opportunity for young people aged 18 and over. Specifically, applications are now open for a training course in the city of Havířov, Czech Republic, from the 1st to the 6th of August. Three places are available.
The event will bring together participants from eight European countries: the Czech Republic, Spain, Malta, Romania, Lithuania, Turkey, Bulgaria and Estonia, promoting cultural exchange, international cooperation and learning among young people from different social and cultural backgrounds.
The councillor for Youth, Melisa Ceballos (PP), stated: "We would like to emphasise that this type of initiative allows young people to acquire new skills, improve their intercultural abilities and build international networks, as well as providing an enriching experience at a European level. That is why I encourage all young people who can to register and take part in these exchanges and European volunteering schemes, as it is a highly enriching experience”.
The course focuses on the impact of social media on young people. During the working sessions, participants will analyse the role played by social media in young people’s lives and share experiences, methodologies and digital tools used in non-formal education. The exchange will include practical workshops focused on information technology (IT), discussions on the responsible use of social media and presentations of best practices developed by the various participating organisations.
Grant
Participants will receive a grant of up to 360 euros towards travel expenses, while accommodation and meals will be covered in full. The registration period will remain open until the 19th of June.
